Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG is a water-soluble granular insecticide derived from the avermectin family. It is highly effective against caterpillar pests such as Helicoverpa, Spodoptera, and Fruit borers. Acting primarily through ingestion, it paralyzes the pest, stopping feeding within hours and causing death in 2-4 days. It is widely used in crops like cotton, chili, brinjal, okra, cabbage, and pulses. With low toxicity to non-target organisms and beneficial insects, it fits well in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs. Its rainfastness and long residual activity further enhance crop protection.
